Legoland and Kindergarten Kids

On Wednesday, I volunteered to attend Legoland at Vaughan Mills, with my daughters kindergarten class. My first class trip with my daughter, so I had no idea what to expect. I have wanted to check this place out for some time. I am truly amazed at what cam be made with lego and wanted to see it first hand.

I arrived at the school and went to my daughters class and had a seat, clearly not meant for an adult. I was greeted by all the children with ” Hi Madisens mom” To which my daughter turned around and yelled, ” Mama, you’re here” The other volunteer arrived and we were ready to go.

All the kids were assigned a partner and of course I was my daughter’s. We lined up to prepare to get on the school bus.  The bus ride was short, Legoland was only about 15 minutes away from the school.  Of course on the ride, I got asked “How much further”. I got some of the kids excited and looking out the window as we got closer.

We had finally arrived and began the legoland adventure. Rules were given for all to follow and they were let free to play. We began by visiting a room with various displays of lego scenes of Toronto. I am not sure who was more excited to see the displays, the kids or the adults.

After an hour of so of play, there was a workshop that the kids attended, that had them doing different patterns. The kids had some more time to play before it was time to head back to school.

We arrived back at the school about a half hour before school ended. I could have signed my daughter out and taken her home early but I choose to stay and listen to a story before school ended.

It was a great day out with the kids, they listened and were well behaved, with only a few tears, my daughter included. I was informed by my daughter that she would not be sitting with me on the way back, I got to sit alone and she sat with another little girl and a boy, she calls her boyfriend. That’s a whole other story. haha!

Have you been to Legoland? Do you plan to take your child? I am glad I went, the experience was amazing, the designs were fabulous and some took 5 months to create, Check out Legoland, you will enjoy it.
