My Experience at #MomsMeTimeTO

This past weekend I spent time at the Renaissance Hotel Toronto for #MomsMeTimeTO. It was a last minute conference, hosted by @SoberJulie, @chancesmommy and @lilmisskateco to bring moms together and enjoy time away from home while learning how to balance family and work in our busy worlds.

I spend everyday at home with my daughter so this was the perfect opportunity for Daddy and daughter time and quality ME time to have fun, learn and grow as a mom with some awesome ladies.

There was a awesome line up of speakers who shared their stories of the struggles with having children with disabilities, how step back and let our children grow and learn without constantly interfering (that was my life), how a busy working mom of six organizes her kids for activities and how Fear is the major factor of us personally not reaching our goals, once we realize and find our fears, we will find the way to reach to the stars.

As mothers we look for support and encouragement from other moms alike, we are not different we just take different steps in our roles at parenting. We can not learn to be a parent by reading a book or following someone else’s advises, it may not work for you. Do what works for you, but always take time for yourself, even if it’s only a quiet moment in the bathroom with the door locked.

Meeting fellow bloggers I follow and hearing them speak gives me a greater sense of admiration of these women. I found humour and sincerity amongst them all, I was able to relax with a feeling of going home to be the best mom I can beand knowing I am doing it right, my way..

Thanks to all for the experience. I am looking forward to connecting with you all again in the near future.

Remember to always find ME time, and life will go more smoothly.
