Family Tradition – Canadian National Exhibition

Visiting the CNE (Canadian National Exhibition) has been a family tradition since I was a little girl and continues today. It has been a tradition for many Canadians since it began in 1879 as The Toronto Industrial Exhibition and is now also known as The Ex. The CNE is open for 18 days beginning August 19 and runs until September 5, 2016. In July, I had booked a room in the Novotel Hotel- Mississauga, to be near an event my daughter was to be in on July 26. My reservation was confirmed and the amount to be paid at the hotel was stated. Each year along the Harbourfront of Lake Ontario in Toronto, the Redpath Waterfront Festival happens. On Saturday we hopped on the subway and headed down to Union Station to catch the streetcar that would take us to Queens Quay to start our adventures at the festival. The Hollywood Walk of Fame runs 1.3 miles (2.1 km) east to west on Hollywood Boulevard. When visiting California, it was on my list of things to do while there. It is probably one of the most visited attractions. Remember though, it is a long hot walk so you will want to bring water and most of all sunscreen.
