My daughter’s birthday is in August and we will be visiting Wasaga Beach for 3 nights. In May I won a 3 night stay in a cottage from Parkbridge Life at the Wasaga Beach location. Normally for her day, we take her to the CNE to celebrate but when my daughter heard I had won a mini vacation, she made the choice for us. She wanted it to be a Beach Birthday. Before we even had dates confirmed, she began the planning stage.
My almost 7-year old took over the plans for our 3-day stay at Wasaga Beach, she wants to celebrate turning 7 with a Beach Birthday. Since it is not a beach theme, I can still do a Troll cake. We are currently working on a few surprises that I will have to fit in. I have to give some guidance since I will be one who will be executing her plans.
The planning began with a notebook and the beginnings of her many lists. Oh, and the lists have nothing to do with her birthday. The first list is made up of all the items we should take and then the list of food and snacks. There were hot dogs because she wants to do them over a fire on a stick, s’mores, watermelon, meat on a stick and more.
She made a list for every day we will be away, which either includes the beach or the pool.
For her birthday we want to spend the day doing activities that she will love.
What to Do in The Georgian Bay area
We browsed some websites for the area and have come up with a few adventures we would like to check out. I would love to share some of my childhood experiences in the area. There will be certain activities that will be done on her birthday and others to be done during the other days we are away.
With only a few days, we want to get in as much as we can.
- The Scenic Caves
- Mountain Coaster
- Gondola Ride
- Candy Factory
- Mini Golf
- Elmvale Zoo
We can’t wait for our Beach Birthday vacation and all the fun we will have as a family. This will be her first time camping and she has so many expectations.
With the help of Ford Canada, we will have use of a Ford Explorer from the media fleet to get us get on the road for some #FordSummer fun and adventures in Cottage country. I am sure the Explorer experience will be just as good as the Ford Flex was last year.
Follow along in August and share our adventures this summer.
