  • 1 cup Cornmeal
  • 1 cup Flour
  • 1 tbsp Rosemary
  • 1/2 cup Honey
  • 1 1/4 tsp Baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 3 tbsp melted butter
  • 1 1/2 cup Buttermilk


  1. In a large bowl, mix cornmeal, flour, Baking Soda, Baking Powder and salt together.

  2. In another bowl mix the buttermilk, honey, egg and butter

  3. Combine the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and blend until just combined. Set aside until the waffle iron is hot (5 minutes)

  4. Lightly grease or use a non-stick spray on the waffle iron. Add 1/2 -1 cup of mixture into the pan. Cook until no more steam is escaping the iron.

Recipe Notes

Each waffle takes approximately 4 minutes to cook and the recipe makes 6 waffles or 24 quarters.
