Home Made Chocolate Brownies

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa unsweetened
  • 1 tsp Vanilla
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2-1 cup Walnuts optional
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Line an 8x8 or 9x9 square baking pan with parchment paper or use non stick cooking spray. Set aside.
  2. In a medium saucepan melt the butter on medium heat, add the granulated sugar and extract. Stir well. Remove pan from heat and stir in the cocoa powder.

  3. In a separate bowl, lightly beat the eggs. Pour the chocolate mixture into the bowl and whisk in with the eggs until well combined. Stir in the flour and walnuts
  4. Pour batter into the previously prepared baking pan and bake for 25-30 minutes. Cool completely. Remove brownies from the pan and cut the brownies into serving size pieces. They can be stored for a few days, if they last.
