I received Beautiful Bundts free of charge from Robert Rose Publishing for review purposes on this blog. No other compensation has been received or implied for this post. All opinions are my own as usual.
I purchased a Bundt pan a few years ago. My family loves to spend time in the kitchen baking. I have only ever made a basic bundt and a blueberry bundt cake. Nothing as mouth-watering as the recipes I have drooled over in the cookbook. I have a new love for the pan and will be getting a few more to have fun in the kitchen. When it came to a Bundt pan, I only ever thought of cakes.
What is a Bundt
Instead of a cast iron pan, the new Bundt pan was made from aluminium. Where did the name come from? It came from the German word bundkuchen. It links the words bund (group or bundle) and kuchen (cake). A cake that brings a group together.
The Original Bundt pan featured fluted or grooved sides which served as markers for even slices. It had a central tube or chimney to create a hole in the middle of the cake. Today there are a wide variety of shapes and sizes. From the classic fluted to holiday wreaths and stars and hearts, they make for some amazing desserts, treats and more.
