Lucky Leprechauns Colouring Printable – Leprechaun Traps

A Leprechaun is a type of fairy in Irish folklore. They are usually described as little bearded men, wearing a coat and hat, who is always getting in mischief. They spend their time making and mending shoes and have a hidden pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. If captured by a human, they often grant three wishes in exchange for their freedom. I have created this Lucky Leprechauns colouring printable to bring the mystery of these little fairies to life.

Leprechaun Trap

Have some fun with your kids and build a Leprechaun Trap to see if they are able to capture these creatures. To trap one of these mythical creatures you must believe in them.

Traps are usually green and gold and will have items that will attract a leprechaun to it. Fill the trap with cold coins, rainbows, top hats and clover to see if one appears.

If you are lucky enough to trap one, the Leprechaun may grant three wishes. Be careful many have been tricked and made foolish wishes. If you weren’t able to trap the little guy, look for signs like chocolate coins and other little trinkets that show they may have visited you.

Set your trap the night before St. Patrick’s Day and see what happens in the morning.
