Last night we attended the evening performance of Disney on Ice – 100 Years of Magic at the Roger’s Centre in Toronto. We love spending time together as a family enjoying a show we all love. On our way to the show, we ran into a couple of friends who my daughter entertained with her joy of attending the show. Once inside, I chatted with a few friends who I spied from across the seats, well that and a text message.
Walt Disney brought his cartoon characters alive through animations. Disney has been bringing joy to children and adults since about the 1920’s. Today those same characters and stories, as well as many new ones were created by the Disney team. They recreate the magic and bring the characters to life on ice.
Mickey and Minnie Mouse were the hosts of the evening, along with their pals, Goofy and Donald Duck.
The audience sang along to the songs that were performed as the lights shined upon the ice. Some of our favourite Disney characters like Nemo, Ariel, Anna and Elsa skated by, my daughter jumped and screamed with excitement.
My pictures are only a small display of what we had the pleasure of sharing with a few thousand other Disney fans, who went at the show.
Here is to another 100 years of Magic, with more excitement than ever before!
If you haven’t been to a Disney on Ice show, I highly recommend heading down to a show; in Toronto until March 20th or a find a location near you.
The next time we are heading down to an event, we are thinking of making it a staycation. Hopefully spending the night in a room at the Renaissance Hotel. How perfect would that be, leave the show, walk around the corner? We can enjoy the rest of the evening instead of an hour or so travelling on the bus.
Let the MAGIC of DISNEY take you away!
Great to see you there! Yes it was such a fantastic show
It is always nice to see you Diane and Hollie!! 🙂
