If you are looking for a conference to attend, this would be one of them. Here is my experience, thoughts and Opinion.
The BConnected Experience
Attending BConnected lets you connect in real life, with those you connect with every day in the world of social media. Brands, Bloggers, influencers networking together. It’s a 2-day conference with a back to back schedule of speakers, food, fun and of course learning different aspects of the digital world. As a blogger, Through the keynote speakers and the sessions, there is so much to learn. This is a way to stay up to date and share knowledge with those around us.
The BConnected conference has been around for the past four years, 2016 was my first year attending (Ottawa). It was not my first conference, so I kind of knew what to expect. I will be returning for this year for my next experience to connect and mingle with old and new friends in Toronto.
What I Learned
- SEO and Google Analytics are important
- Google Analytics still confuses me
- I got the facts from a Dairy Farmer
- Sustainability with Ford
- connections last a lifetime
- many have the same questions as me
- I still have so much to learn
Remember it isn’t a competition, it is a bonding of professionals with like minds working together as one.
Packing
Try not to over pack, you will be coming home with a bit of swag and possible a few souvenirs. I need to listen to this point, I always seem to over pack. Only bring what you really need.
What to Bring:
- Laptop, phone
- comfortable shoes, dressy shoes
- an outfit for each day
- an evening outfit for the networking party
- snacks and drinks
Last year I took the train from Toronto to Ottawa, I needed to keep busy for 5 hours on the ride. I brought a few extras to stay busy. Turns out I didn’t even use what I brought. I enjoyed the view going there and slept coming home.

Breakfast, lunches and snacks are provided throughout the day. Where you go for dinner is your choice, there is always a variety of restaurants nearby. You can do a bit of sightseeing at the same time.
