Lime Cream Cheese Crumble Cake

Every once in awhile, I have cravings for desserts that don’t include chocolate. I to make wanted to try something a little bit different from what I would normally make. I decided since I had limes and cream cheese, that’s where I would start. Finally deciding on a Lime Cream Cheese Crumble Cake.

Lime Cream Cheese Crumble Cake

Prep Time 25 minutes
Cook Time 35 minutes
Total Time 2 hours
Servings 12 squares


Cake layer

  • 11/2 cups flour
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 tblsp lime zest
  • 2 tblsp lime juice
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1/3 cup oil
  • 2 tblsp baking powder
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tblsp Vanilla

Cream Cheese Layer

  • 1 8 oz pkg cream cheese softened
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tblsp lime zest
  • 1 `egg
  • 1/2 tsp Vanilla

Crumb Top

  • 1/4 cup butter melted
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 2/3 cups flour
  • 1/3 cup sugar


Cake Layer-Bottom

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Grease 9x13 pan and set aside
  2. In a large bowl mix together the dry ingredients
  3. In another bowl, mix together the wet ingredients
  4. Combine the dry and wet ingredients together

  5. Spread mixture on the bottom of greased pan

Cream Cheese Layer

  1. Combine cream cheese and sugar and mix until creamy
  2. Add in remaining layer ingredients

  3. Add mixture onto the cake layer in spoonfuls

Crumble Topping

  1. Add ingredients to melted butter until mixture resembles a crumble Sprinkle onto cream cheese layer and place in oven
  2. Bake for 35 minutes and cool

  3. Garnish with limes and mint leaves and serve
