Apartment Living

Apartment Living

Apartment Living has its ups and downs and I’m not talking elevators. If you have ever lived in or are currently living in an apartment, some of what I have to say may sound familiar. Living in an apartment, there are all sorts of issues you have to deal with, good and bad. We have been living in our apartment for just under a year. We don’t normally complain about things. There are times when you need to. From the time we moved in the buzzer to let people in … Continue reading

You’re a Blogger and get Free Stuff, I should Blog Too!

TV Junkie

So you’re a blogger and get free stuff, I should blog too. As bloggers, we often hear those words or something similar about what we do on a daily basis. Have you ever tried to explain to people what you actually do? “I am a blogger, I get free stuff because I want to spend hours creating the perfect post and testing out products. I will share on the brands required Social Media platforms numerous times to advertise the products I received for free.”

Hollywood Walk of Fame

Hollywood Walk of Fame

The Hollywood Walk of Fame runs 1.3 miles (2.1 km) east to west on Hollywood Boulevard. When visiting California, it was on my list of things to do while there. It is probably one of the most visited attractions. Remember though, it is a long hot walk so you will want to bring water and most of all sunscreen. It was an amazing feeling as I followed the stars along the boulevard, recognizing the names as I walked. Now remember this is a big attraction, so there will be crowds … Continue reading

Learning About My Ancestry

Learning about my Ancestry

In March of 1955, my father hopped on the Queen Mary or Queen Elizabeth ship and traveled to New York from Scotland to join his sister in Toronto. I never met his parents, my grandparents, they passed away long before I was born. Learning about my ancestry brings me closer to people I have never met or I have only seen a few times during my life. My father was the second youngest of 14 brothers and sisters. I remember when I was young he would talk about his family … Continue reading

Lemon Cinnamon Loaf – Cake Mix Recipe

Lemon Cinnamon Loaf

I like to bake but not always from scratch. Who has the time? If I am going to bake from scratch I usually set a day aside to do so. When I go shopping, I tend to pick up cake mixes when they are on sale. I usually have 3 or 4 boxes in the cupboard at one time. I rarely follow the recipe on the box unless we want cake or cupcakes. I like to create something quick and easy for a snack. I normally don’t buy Lemon cake … Continue reading

Recycling at Home and Around Your City

Recycling

We all want to have a healthy and clean environment for our kids to grow up in. I know there was a time when most of us used one bag to put everything in, but times change and since these changes are for the better, we should adapt to these changes. In order for that to happen we all need to do our part. With all the litter and recyclables I see thrown all over the street, next to a bin. It makes me wonder how many people really do … Continue reading

Garnier Clean+ Makeup Removing Lotion Cleanser Review

Garnier Clean+ Makeup Removing Lotion Cleanser

I am not really a big make up person. I do occasionally put on a new face. I wear the basics, foundation, eye shadow and lip gloss. I haven’t worn mascara in years. I don’t like the way it feels on my lashes and is sometimes hard to remove. After recovering from the flu, I wanted to make myself feel and look better, so I got out my make up and did my face up over the past week to test out the Garnier Clean+ Make Up Removing Lotion Cleanser.

Why Are Those Shows Grey and White?

Soap Operas

Why are those shows grey and white? That is the question we get asked from our 4 year old when we put on one of our favourite “old” shows. You know the ones I mean, the ones we watched before their was colour on TV. If the picture was unclear, we just got up and moved the rabbit ears around. You remember those times, right? It’s not just me that’s old!?!
