Soap Operas – Steamy Daytime TV
I began watching Soap Operas at a young age. I guess it all began as a very small child watching them along with my mom. Then as I grew I began to find my own soaps to watch. Over the years I have watched many Daytime Soap Operas but because many have been cancelled I am now down to 3; Days of Our Lives, The Young and the Restless and General Hospital. Watching 3 doesn’t sound so bad. But if none of them were cancelled I would be juggling to … Continue reading
Love Quotes and Sentiments for Valentine’s Day
Today is known for being the day of Love, when we celebrate with family and friends with chocolates, cards, flowers, romantic dinners, or maybe a stuffed toy. Although we share our love all through the year, February 14 has been set as the day we all share together our love and emotions with each other. Sometimes it is hard to find the exact words to say to the ones you love. Here are some famous Love quotes and sentiments I have put together. Love doesn’t make the world go round. … Continue reading
Why Do People Lie?
If little white lies were a crime, perhaps we’d all be in jail at one time or another. We learn from mistakes. I have learned to understand people by the way they talk or the gestures they use. I can usually tell if a person is lying, if I can’t, then I go with my gut, it never lets me down. When you here a story, you have to wonder sometimes, Is this person for real, and how many people can they get to believe a story like that. That is … Continue reading
Being Sick Sucks
Over the past few months I have been sick, more than usual. When I have been sick in the past it has been due to something I have ate that didn’t agree with my stomach or food poisoning. Having already been diagnosed with acid reflux, I never thought much about it, take antacids and all is fine. Maybe about 5 years ago I began to get pain when I ate certain foods that would leave me in agony all night long. It didn’t happen often and I avoided those foods. … Continue reading
For the Love of Wolves
We grow up reading stories like Little Red Riding Hood or The Three Little Pigs all which have a main character of a wolf. So begins the fear of the big bad wolf for most little children. We fear the wolf because we hear it in a story from our parents, a teacher, someone older, someone who should know. As a child I read those stories. I also learned to love wolves and not fear them. Why would a child learn to love an animal that we are made to … Continue reading
Potty Training
How do we as parents know when the right time to begin the steps of potty training? Is there an age, maybe signs to tell us, or do we seek the advise or help from other parents. In the past year there have been many times when I thought it would be a good time to start potty training my daughter. I have a potty and a seat for the bathroom toilet. At about 20 months my daughter began began telling me that she went pee, I would check her … Continue reading

Sadness at Christmas
Growing up I was always excited about Christmas. Setting out cookies and Beer, yes Santa drank beer at my house. There was always something fun happening, friends and family dropping in for visits or us going out as a family and visiting others. Christmas is suppose to be a happy time for everyone but not all times are good, fun or happy. Sometimes we have sadness in our lives that prevents us from feeling the joy and happiness of the season. Four years ago Christmas became sad time of year. … Continue reading
